Each of the three churches in the Benefice are committed to Safeguarding Children, Young People, Victims /Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adults. The PCCs of St Paul’s, St Nicholas’ and St Thomas’ have adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practices on safeguarding which maybe found on the Church of England website.

The Safe guarding officer at St Nicholas’ church is Rosemary Gorton.

St Nicholas’ has developed it’s own specific Safeguarding Policy which deals with various areas of church life within St Nicholas’ - this can be viewed below. However, although it is a specific policy, it also encompasses and adheres to the Church of England Safeguarding Policy.
